From Vision to Reality: The Acts 2 Journey Cohorts

Sustainable, Spirit-led transformation for every church.

Your Journey Starts Here

The kingdom of God isn't about numbers; it's about stories. Every local church, regardless of size, can write them.

The Acts 2 Journey Cohort is a transformative process led by an experienced team to help you fulfill the vision you have to strengthen your church spiritually, numerically, and relationally.  Join a team of leaders from your church for a series of four gatherings over the course of a year to pray, dream, and strategize about the future of your church.

Every pastor needs a team – and that’s where we step in. Together, let's write the next chapter in your church's story.

Why Acts 2?

Frequently Asked Questions

    Encounter: Acts 2:4

The first-century Church began with the encounter of Pentecost.

“And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:4, NKJV).

    Message: Acts 2:14-16

Peter went out to the inquisitive Jews and explained what was happening; he was preaching the message (or explanation) of what was happening. His message was so anointed that three thousand people were saved and immediately baptized.

“But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: 'Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words. 15 For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel'” (Acts 2:14-16, ESV).

    Implementation: Acts 2:42-47

Luke wrote about a process, that when implemented, resulted in the first-century church that turned the then-known world “upside down.”

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved” (Acts 2:42-47, ESV).

We were stuck, frustrated, and kept hitting the wall. We realized that we weren’t ready to step into the community. God had a work to do in us first. The Acts 2 Journey was the tool through which God did that work in our team.

I would encourage any pastor to take part in the Acts 2 Journey cohort, whether a new church plant, a legacy church in need of revitalization like ours was, or a church that is healthy and looking for ways to get stronger.

“I had been that pastor who would attend a conference and bring back ideas that I tried to implement on my own. But those efforts left me trying to be the only catalyst to change. With the Acts 2 Journey experience I have marveled at my team’s ownership. They have owned the process and are fully ready to take on the implementation of the plan we’ve developed.”

“We really needed a jump start, something that would get us on the same page and help us find momentum again. The Acts 2 Journey helped us communicate better with each other, and now we’re finding ways to connect our efforts of youth ministry to the vision God has given for the whole church. It’s so exciting to see where God is leading us!”

    Retreat 1: Mission & Vision

    Retreat 2: Values

Teams explore their church's unique DNA and the biblical core values that support their vision. They evaluate current values, both positive and negative, before creating or refining a set of core values that align with their vision and guide their actions. This retreat answers the question, "How should we behave?"

    Retreat 3: Strategic Planning

The focus shifts to creating a tailored operating plan based on the Acts 2 template: Connect, Grow, Serve, Go, Worship. Teams compile their vision, values, and strategy into a presentation, sharing it with other cohort participants. This working draft helps answer, "How will we get there?"

Retreat 4: Strategic Communication and Vision Launch
